PainMiner is a browser extension that lets you save and tag text you highlight on customer review pages.

What data PainMiner handles

PainMiner stores the text you explicitly choose to save by clicking the "Save pain" button, along with the star rating, the page title and the page URL it came from, plus any tag you add.

Where that data is stored

All of it is stored locally on your own computer, using the browser's chrome.storage.local API. It never leaves your device.

What PainMiner does NOT do

Permissions

PainMiner requests a single permission: storage. This is used only to save your collected complaints locally so they persist between sessions.

Your control over your data

You can delete any saved item, or clear everything, at any time from the extension panel. You can export your data to CSV, Markdown or JSON, and back it up yourself. Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data.
